A safety beam shutter is located against the optic hutch - experimental hutch wall . This shutter is made of two bricks (30cm long) of lead carved as a chicane. It is motorised and can be opened and closed automatically once the experimental hutch has been searched and interlocked. An extra lead layer surrounds the entrance of the Xray pipe trough the wall in case of Xray scattering when the safety beam shutter is closed.
