COVID-19 Restrictions for On-Site Experiments at the ESRF

  • Share

The ESRF is expecting to be able to resume onsite user experiments for the coming run (Jan-March), at a level of one onsite user per experiment for the majority of experiments. We will be very happy to welcome you back, but strict hygiene and social distancing measures remain in place and we kindly ask for your cooperation in respecting these rules before, during and after your visit. Remote experiments, or a combination of local and remote access, are still preferred and encouraged wherever possible.

National, local and travel restrictions are constantly evolving so please ensure you are aware of the restrictions in place in France and in the Grenoble area at your time of travel, and ensure you are able to provide the correct paperwork and test results if required. We strongly recommend that users planning to come onsite check with the French embassy in their home country for the latest information on restrictions. A nightly curfew is currently in place in France so if you need to travel in these hours please ensure you carry with you a completed exemption certificate as well as written proof of your experiment invitation and your travel tickets. The possibility of onsite user presence is dependent on the evolution of French government restrictions, and may evolve in the coming weeks.
