The ESRF “speed dates” French industry

It will be quick, intense and hopefully fruitful. The CARNOT conference, taking place this week in Lyon, France, brings together major R&I players in France with the aim of leading to new partnerships or collaborations. The ESRF is present, as it has been on previous occasions, with the aim of spreading the word on our capabilities for characterisation of materials.

The meeting attracts around 2500 visitors and there are a total of 9200 “rendez-vous” or short meetings programmed in advance. “There are a lot of companies in France who still don´t know what the ESRF has to offer, especially small and medium sized ones. This is a great opportunity for the Business Development Office (BDO) to discover potential new clients”, explains Ed Mitchell, head of the BDO at the ESRF.
