Because the ESRF is supported by 22 countries, diversity has always been part of its DNA.
38 nationalities are represented among the staff and continuous effort is being put in developing diversity and inclusiveness, with significant actions being taken to promote the employment of disabled persons and to encourage gender equality.
Examples of concrete actions which have been taken are:
Since 2019, gender equality in the workplace is measured through the gender equality index.
This index takes the form of a score out of 100 and is based on five criteria for assessing inequalities between women and men in the workplace.
Depuis 2019, l'égalité femmes-hommes dans les entreprises est dotée d'un nouvel outil : l’index de l’égalité femmes-hommes.
Sous la forme d’une note sur 100, il se compose de cinq indicateurs qui évaluent les inégalités entre femmes et hommes.
